Into WordPress blog we can control all pages of the blog using a plugin like Yost SEO, All in one SEO, etc. but for the blogger it provides officially Custom robots header tags feature and i am sure there are many users who don’t know about this feature or use of this feature. So, let me tell about this feature in detail description.

Noindex blogger posts or pages

Why i need to NoIndex any post or pages ?
As we know, Google don’t like spammy and low quality articles / content. In order to save your blog from getting hit Panda,Penguin or farmer it is more important to remove low quality articles from your blog. you might have new question in your mind is that how to find low quality content from your blog , well, according to Google , copied content, no interlinking, limited information, article less than 500 words etc are considering as low quality articles. Best and quick way to fix all your blog’s low quality content is to add noindex tag to low quality posts.

In this article, i gonna share how you can add a no index tag to a particular post or page in blogger, just follow the steps given below.

STEP : 1
In your blogger dashboard go to settings > Search performances > Crawlers and indexing section. In to Custom robots header tags click on Edit button and choose “yes” to enable custom robots header tags.

Now simply , check noindex under archive and search pages ( it will prevent Google bot from crawling your search pages) and click on “Save Changes”

Go to post or page list and click on Edit which you want to add noindex tag.
Now, you will see new option at right side of the post editor called “Custom robots tags”

Blogger > Post Editor

Check “noindex” if you want that post not to be indexed on Google search engine.  (uncheck the default option first)

That’s it. !

Now, it will take sometimes to remove your article from Google search result. if you want to remove that article from the Google search engine instantly, Then you can do it using fetch as Google tool on Google webmaster tool.
