Web Page


An electronic document on the Web is called a Web Page. The web pages are stored on computers across the world and are written in HTML (HyperText Markup Language). A vast amount of information is provided by these web pages.

The information may include graphics, sound and even movies as well as links to other web pages. It is accessed through a unique URL address, like this page is an example of a web page.

Do you know when was first web page created and by whom? On August 6th, 1991, Tim Berners-Lee created the first web page at CERN.

Basically the World Wide Web is made up on the web pages, which can be dynamic or static. The web pages which show the same content, even after innumerable views are the static web pages and the web pages which shows changes in the content every time are the dynamic web pages.

It is important to note that there is a difference between a website and a web page. A website is basically a collection of all the pages together and a web page is one of those pages. This is the major distinction between the two.
