Affiliate Program


A marketing program which channelizes the customers of one website to other websites or businesses and receives a particular amount of commission by generating the sales is known as an Affiliate Program. The parent company provides the website with all the advertising tools including the tracking codes, banner ads and links, which are placed on the website as well as on the internet listings and in emails. Visitors, visiting the website and clicks on those banner ads or links, the transaction is automatically tracked down and if it results in a sale, then the parent company pays a commission.


In other words, the merchant recruits a webmaster for placing their banner ads and links on their website and in return, the webmaster receives a commission or a referral fee for generating the sales.
